The final pitching session of 2018’s Microsoft Young Bangla Internship was held yesterday July 29th, 2018 in Microsoft Bangladesh’s Corporate Office. Top 35 was teams were allowed to showcase and pitch their startup plans to the experts of Microsoft Young Bangla team.
The Managing Director of Microsoft Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan & Laos Sonia Bashir Kabir inspected 10 project demos where Tajnin Nahar (Office Manager, Microsoft BD) & Oindrila Ahmed judges the 25 ideas pitched before them.
Team Void: A cheaply designed Smart Health Monitoring System an IoT based Device which provides ESG, Blood Pressure, Pulse, etc. and saves the reports in your mobile phone to bring the ICU support in your home at a very Cheap Rate. This device can provide more than 2 Crore Data of a single human and using Big Data they can predict one’s health condition and diseases as well
Team Platinum-3: A cheaply designed drone to use for fire extinguishing services in areas like Old Dhaka where usual fire service vehicles can’t reach. The Drone will release the chemical reaction based fire extinguishing ball which can extinguish the fire in just three seconds
Team Python: Creating a new learning experience for our students through Virtual Reality based Educational Contents. This team already got the opportunity from Young Bangla to provide contents in all of the Sheikh Russell Digital Labs established throughout the country.
Team Microbeat: Stepping towards a greener future through providing Eco-biological products which are usually not available in Bangladesh at your door steps and using Artificial Intelligence to control your house, office or any other place’s Environment
A lot of teams showed interest in Traffic Jam and Road Accidents where the rests were about Health, Education, Agriculture and even Home services like: Car Wash, Nanny or Maid, etc. also.
Clearly this year’s projects were far better than last couple of years’ as this time sessions included few real life based lessons from renown books on startups and entrepreneurship. Sonia Bashir Kabir said, “All our MSYB interns have learnt “Vision without Planning & Execution is Hallucination. So Top 10 teams will be selected from these 35 and will get a chance to Pitch for Glory on stage in front of the Microsoft Young Bangla Community and Venture/Angel Investors at This years’ biggest celebration of Tech-Entrepreneurship, The Upcoming Microsoft Young Bangla Summit 2018.
