The much coveted Joy Bangla Youth Award 2018 hosted by Young Bangla (YB) went to 30 youth-led organizations this time. These organizations were selected from a list of 50 nominated organizations under 10 categories, including skill development, inclusive education, empowerment of differently-abled people, cultural activism, innovation, sports and fitness, creating public awareness, reducing gender discrimination, environment and climate change, and community development. Sajeeb Wazed, ICT Adviser to the PM of Bangladesh and Chairperson of Centre for Research and Information (CRI), an inspiration to the current youth, handed over the awards at a grand ceremony.
Almost two hundred youthful souls have come together in the bootcamp at Sheikh Hasina National Youth Development Institute. They experienced a day full of interactive sessions where they mingled and shared experience and learnt from each other.

With a mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more, in 2015 Microsoft joined hands with country’s largest youth network Young Bangla and introduced a series of initiatives to contribute in building Digital Bangladesh. With evolving technology throughout the world, this initiative opened a door for the youth of Bangladesh to experience latest technology, even at the grassroots.
Following the successful multistakeholder meetings in 35 districts, Young Bangla has completed promotional activities in 144 upazilas (sub-districts) of these districts as a part of its pre-award promotional activities for the upcoming Joy Bangla Youth Award 2018.
