Ek Takay Shikkha, founded in 2017, which is a social organization that assists students of disadvantaged backgrounds to continue their education. It has so far reached over twelve hundred students with education assistance. Starting from Chattogram district, it has extended its activities to five more districts. Besides, the education assistance program, it arranges other charity events in different schools regularly. It functions under the slogan “Give One Taka Daily, Change Bangladesh”. Every member of this organization contributes one taka daily. This contribution may seem small, but the sheer number of members allows the foundation to raise a good amount of funds. It is active in Feni, Comilla, Barisal, Cox’s Bazar, and Patuakhali with over twenty-five hundred members, fifteen thousand individual partners, and a few corporate partners including bKash.
This network has helped the organization to expand its activities to provide monetary support and guidance to students who cannot afford education. Many of its beneficiaries received higher education from reputed educational institutes all over the country under the project ‘Agami’. So far, the number of beneficiaries is around forty-five hundred.
