Joy Bangla Youth Award 2024: Honoring Excellence in Youth Leadership

Young Bangla, an initiative by the Center for Research and Information (CRI), proudly announces the eighth edition of the prestigious Joy Bangla Youth Award in 2024. Since its inception in 2015, this award has recognized exemplary youth organizations dedicated to humanitarian efforts, nation-building, and societal advancement.

Who Can Apply?

This year, we invite organizations led by individuals aged 18 to 35 to apply in six distinct categories:

Categories of Recognition

A total of 12 awards will be presented, with two awards per category. Young Bangla has grown into Bangladesh’s largest youth platform, encompassing over 400 organizations, 20,000 volunteers, and more than 100,000 members.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Joy Bangla Youth Award 2024, organizations must meet specific criteria demonstrating their commitment and impact in various crucial areas:

  1. Operational History: Organizations must have a minimum operational history of at least one year. This criterion ensures that applying organizations have established a track record of sustained effort and impact.
  2. Contribution Areas:
    1. Women’s Empowerment: Applicants should showcase initiatives that promote gender equality, enhance women’s rights, and empower women economically and socially.
    1. Child Rights: Organizations must demonstrate efforts aimed at safeguarding and promoting the rights and welfare of children, including protection from exploitation, abuse, and neglect.
    1. Disability Empowerment: Initiatives supporting the empowerment, inclusion, and rights of persons with disabilities, ensuring their full participation in society, are encouraged.
    1. Socio-Cultural Initiatives: Programs focusing on preserving cultural heritage, promoting cultural diversity, and fostering community cohesion through arts, traditions, and cultural activities.
    1. Environmental Conservation: Efforts aimed at environmental sustainability, conservation of natural resources, combating climate change, and promoting eco-friendly practices.
    1. Healthcare: Contributions to improving access to healthcare services, health education, and addressing public health challenges within communities.
    1. Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Services: Organizations involved in preparedness, response, and recovery efforts during disasters, emergencies, and humanitarian crises.
    1. Sport and Sustainability: Organizations contributing to sports development as a tool for social inclusion, community engagement, and sustainable development. This includes initiatives promoting physical health, teamwork, and leadership skills among youth through sports activities. Efforts in promoting sports as a means to raise awareness about sustainability issues such as climate change adaptation, environmental conservation, and eco-friendly practices are also recognized.

These criteria ensure that the awarded organizations have made significant contributions to key societal issues, aligning with the overarching goals of the Joy Bangla Youth Award to recognize and support impactful youth-led initiatives in Bangladesh.

How to Apply
