Cultural practices keep a society away from any kind of immoral activities. Umme Syema Joya while studying in KC government college in Jhenaidah felt the need for a cultural organization in her district and educational institution. This has made her crave for the establishment of a cultural organization. Her journey has started with some her friend, when they took initiative for creating a cultural minded community. They have faced many obstacles, as she was a women people in her area ignored her initiatives. After organizing different types of cultural activities like, poem recitation, literature practice, debate, dance, and signing competition in small range, she and her comrades received some appreciation. From there Umme has founded Kothon Sangskrititk Sangshad and till now she along with the volunteers of this organization has been working relentlessly to promote culture in Jhenaidah. Right now, they have 45 members from them they get the funding to operate their work, along with this they have 100 volunteers. Not only this they also distribute winter clothing to poor people, established library for underprivileged students and also done many workshops. From their activities 2008 to 2018 around 5,000 people were benefited.
