The Journey of Prottoi has started with aiding the under privileged children who were deprived from education. They have received financial assistance from different medium. From the very beginning with the help from everyone they have presented their organizations effort and work to social media, and different platform. After this, they have taken it as their moral responsibilities to support helpless people. For operating this organization, they have faced various hostile obstacles as they conduct their activities keeping the ideology of our 1971 liberation. But this couldn’t hold them of conducting their activities.
Their activities have been designed keeping in mind the enthusiasm of our liberation and our social awareness work is on anti-child marriage, militancy, anti-drug campaign. From their personal savings they have helped the poor people with health, education distribution of relief in flood, cloth during Eid and Puja, computer training. During this time many people even mocked them as crazy but that didn’t demotivate them rather they took it as challenge and dealt with positivity.
In 2017, Miftah Ahmed Liton has received JBYA for his dedication on the community development. After receiving the award, he became more confident and the pace of their work has increased even further. Their activities have been broadened and as they work in the remote they have reached women and girls in that place enlightened them about the negative effect of child marriage, also educated unskilled women, and also beware both male and female students about eve-teasing, and helped students for their studies. At present under the Prottoi umbrella 45 students are being sponsored. Now Prottoi Foundation is being recognized as the most popular foundation in Juri upzilla.
