Mushfika Nishat’s ‘Sombhabona’ started it’s journey in 2011 in Dhaka. Since its inception, the organization has been working to improve the fortunes of the poor and backward communities in the country. In the last 12 years, this institution has been successfully running ‘Pushpakali School’ for the education of underprivileged children, ‘Anindit Nani’ for self-reliance through skill development of underprivileged women and ‘Swanirbhar’ project with the aim of creating employment for the youth. Another initiative called ‘Sombhabona’ ICT Centre’ aims to provide free IT training to underprivileged educated unemployed population. The project is working to bring the light of technology to people of all levels of the country keeping in front of this slogan “The right to technology is the promise of enlightened life”. Through this process underprivileged, jobless, uneducated women and men can get permanent employment. In addition, Sombhabona are conducting free short-term training schemes for underprivileged women in remote areas. Under this project, the backward and underprivileged women in the remote areas of 64 districts of the country are being given free short-term hand industry and entrepreneurship development training. 5000 people have received education and training through various projects of Sombhabona. About 25,000 people have been directly and indirectly benefited through the opportunity. Also, assistance has been provided to lakhs of people during the calamity of the country. Sombhabona dreams for making a non- discrimination and a skilled population for country and society.
